Curriculum

 At Christina’s Learn and Play Daycare, our curriculum is carefully designed to offer children a range of experiences that stimulate their senses, spark their imagination, and encourage their natural curiosity. We believe that children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore, experiment, and play in a nurturing environment. While participating in art, children are provided with a range of art supplies to help them express their creativity and imagination. Our themed art projects, which change with the seasons and holidays, provide children with a sense of accomplishment and help build their self-esteem. When the children participate in cooking projects, children learn basic math skills, how to follow directions, and how to use their senses to explore and discover new foods. Our dramatic play area allows children to act out real-life and fantasy situations, explore different personalities, and learn how to handle a variety of life's challenges. Movement activities are a vital part of our curriculum, allowing children to explore their bodies, develop gross and fine motor skills, and experience different emotions through dance and music. Our language program includes reading and storytelling, pre-reading and handwriting skills, as well as opportunities for children to dictate their own stories. When the children participate in science, children are encouraged to explore and experiment with nature and the environment, building their observational skills and fostering appreciation for the world around them. At Christina’s Learn and Play Daycare, we celebrate all holidays, with special parties and activities, including birthdays. We serve breakfast, lunch, and two snacks, and our curriculum includes color, number, letter, and shape recognition. We also teach Spanish to help broaden children's language and cultural horizons. We understand that every child is unique, and we believe in providing an intimate and nurturing environment that encourages each child to learn and grow at their own pace. Our curriculum is play-based, ensuring that children learn through fun and engaging activities. We provide weekly newsletters to keep parents informed about their child's progress and the festivities taking place at the daycare.
